Mobile crane used to build support frame for tower crane on building redevelopment. 10 Broadway / New Scotland Yard redevelopment, London * Conceptual design for a temporary truss propping system for retained basement wall. Due to the mass concrete nature of sections of the basement retaining wall, conventional props could not be used. A truss was proposed to distribute the load to the cantilever king post internal excavation `reaction' point. Besides the structural steel truss analysis and design, temporary works construction sequence diagrams were produced. ;

Analysed early thermal cracking and reinforcement design of concrete cladding perimeter edge beams plus effects of changes in beam design build ability. ; * Reviewed design for structural steel grillages supporting passenger hoardings / tunnel cladding. ; * Provided Contractor advice on construction changes and QA/QC issues- RFIs, NCR during construction of the deep basement / station box underground buildings. The design of the two station halls / deep boxes and ground - first floor parts of the station building were significantly in advance of the M&E design. Consequently the contractor and services team required guidance where the services openings in slabs, walls and cuts in beams could safely be provided.
