Digital Payment Gateway offers a collection and payout service to payment gateways via a set of APIs. The payment gateways registers purchases and DPG will orchestrate the collection (pay-in settlement and reconciliation), accounting (maintain the payables per merchant), billing and pay-out. Product scope: Non-urgent domestic US payments (ACH/NACHA), SEPA SCT, Cross border (WIRE) payments, credit card payments. ISO 20022 (PAIN.001, PACS.008, CAMT.053-054). With request to pay (RtP) DB expedites a credit transfer from the end customer (PSU) to the merchant by offering payment processing Open Banking solution facilitated by PSD2. DB exposes REST/HTTPS endpoints for their client to initiate a payment, get payment details, initiate refund and get refund details. As a business analyst I created user stories based on the input from product manager, provided dev team with data/object flow modelling (sequence and activity diagrams), and addressed various aspects of integration requirements both with our fintech partner and various payment schemes (iDEAL). As a cross regional Test Lead I took over a new strategic global equity derivatives platform for pricing and RFQs with a view to make it compliant with SDLC standards as well as MiFID II (pre-trade transparency, post-trade reporting, quote publication, best execution etc.). As part of this initiative I have created corresponding test artefacts (test plan, test evaluation report, test cases), contributed to business analysis by clarifying requirements, represented test function and provided test governance during daily scrums, sprint planning, iteration scope prioritization meetings and release sign off from QA perspective. I’m also coordinating interaction between various project streams (TN, NES, TKAAMS, Depot Global), external vendors (BlackRock, Tradeweb, Bloomberg) as well as our own business users/SMEs during requirement gathering and UAT phases.

As a Test Consultant I was involved in testing of a new LME system which provided a post-trade registration and matching service for all LME trading venues in line with new MiFID II requirements which resulted in the creation of a new clearing model. Testing covered both GUI&FIX trade validations followed by clearing checks. Products wise I worked with futures and options for both base and precious metals. Part of my daily routine involved ensuring all defects are tracked, triaged and followed up using HP Quality Centre.

As a hands-on QA lead for EMEA region I managed testing of a global equity derivatives pricing and trading platform for over-the-counter instruments & listed options with a particular emphasis on e-trading controls (aggregated position and pnl checks, compliance and pre-trade checks: various notionals and limits). Implemented and established a strategic test process which introduced acceptance criteria and quality gates between various project phases. Used JIRA to record new work items ensuring all JIRAs for a particular release are tested and signed off. As part of a wider initiative I coordinated cross-regional E2E integration system testing which covered downstream flows including booking and regulatory reporting. Provided test governance ensuring all QA deliverables are planned and delivered on time, captured metrics and provided test reports for senior management after every release.

TCT enables STP of trades in business real time, producing timely and accurate exposure reporting and automated settlement pricing through a single pricing engine. By eliminating manual data management it builds a single trusted data store of transactional information used by Front Office, Risk, Control and Compliance. As a technical tester and later business proving test analyst I was involved in story/feature testing done within iterative Agile framework both on unit (DSL using xpath quering XMLs) and integration (E2E) levels feat. 3rd party systems: NextGen, Openlink Endur, Murex, Asset Control etc. Products wise I worked with fixed/formula priced Futures, Forwards, OTC Swaps, Cleared Options (mainly Asian, financially settled), Cleared Swaps, Exchange Traded Options (mainly American, settled in Futures), Quanto Swaps, OTC Options. I also assisted other work streams with my TCT pricing expertise and market data management (exchange rates and forward curves set up). Methodology used: Agile/Scrum.

Customer: Deutsche Bank Project: ETRA ETRA is one of the Personal Account Dealing Systems which record trade requests for personal dealing from Deutsche Bank staff. As a sole tester I did system integration testing as well as conducted and coordinated UAT which targeted 28 countries. The product was successfully signed off and rolled out to all of them. Methodology used: Agile/Scrum Customer: Morgan Stanley & Goldman Sachs Project: ETF ETF Manager project: the overall project objective was to launch new application for a joint venture between Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. The functionality enables brokers and other institutional investors to make subscriptions and redemptions to ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds). Later on we integrated a FIX protocol into the solution so brokers could trade ETFs through their own API using DMA as the endpoint in those subscriptions/redemptions. My role on the project was a test analyst (and later lead) and as such I did test design (working out test conditions and test scenarios), prepared test strategy/approach as well as performed test execution and defect management. Methodology used: Agile/Scrum
