I learned Java in a private institute in Buenos Aires three years ago and I began to really learn it in my last job. I was working at the help desk team as a functional analyst, communicating directly with end users, making diagnosis of problems taking place in the production environment and, if the solution didn't require a new version, then I performed the hotfix and documents. If the problem was critical I should coordinate the team to deliver the customer a solution as soon as possible. The company I worked for has a suite of products that allow to the brokerage firms to trade directly with the Mexican Stock Exchange and the Stock Exchange of New York, and performing a lot of private banking operations. The software is based almost entirely on Java EE, Swing library, Hibernate library and Oracle as Data Base but also have a little of C and other language and libraries wich I did'nt used. Three months ago they offered me return to work with them at the offices of Mexico as Project Manager but I declined the offer because just I came to Russia with intentions to make my life here. Shortly after arriving in Russia two scientists from the Saint Petersburg State University asked me develop a program for an experiment with birds. It had to collect a lot of data, calculate it and then plot an actogram. In this project I used Java and R. I am not an expert in Java, I still have a lot to learn but I really love the world IT and I want to continue growing in it, being part of a multidisciplinary team in a major company. My level of pure knowledge of Java is between Junior and Semi Senior but I have a broad vision for the software development thanks to different projects (professional and personal). I had to learn about different technologies, design patterns and paradigms to develop them. I really hope to fulfill your expectations and have the opportunity to meet personally in an interview.
