As a Senior Network Engineer, my main responsibilities are as follows: - Responsible for managing and troubleshooting Hughes HX, Newtec Sat3Play and Advantech DVB-RCS IP broadband satellite access systems. - Building scalable QoS servers to prioritize customer traffic based on TOS/DS byte (IPP field/DSCP field), IP address, routing and packet marks to reliably deliver traffic (unicast and multicast) with diverse delay tolerances in TDMA/MF-TDMA environment. - Configuration and troubleshooting of dynamic routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, BGP), various VPN tunnels (MPLS, L2TPV3, GRE, IPSec), VTP, switch port security, firewalls (stateful, zone-based, ip tables). - Contributed to company mail server enhancement (POSTFIX+Mysql) and performed daily administration activities. - Act as the GSS point of contact for technical support of different equipment vendors (Advantech, Hughes and Newtec). - Responsible for preparing technical reports, developing networking equipment specifications and deployment plans. - Troubleshooting of escalated customer enquiries and complaints, deep traffic engineering. - Responsible for emergency 24x7 off-site troubleshooting and disaster recovery.
